chaliceChurch Extension Financial & Missional Resources (CEFMR), a multi-organization general ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), mobilizes capital and leadership resources for congregational mission by providing capital loans, fund-raising, investment opportunities, and other mission focused services.  We are currently seeking a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to lead and direct our financial efforts.

This key financial executive role is based in our headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.  You will report to the two Co-Executives of CEFMR; and your responsibilities will be to oversee all aspects of the financial operations of our multiple unit organization, including accounting, the annual audit, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, cash management, risk management, accounts payable, loans, investments, information systems, and ensuring the overall and enduring financial health of the business.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) with a CPA license, a thorough knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and FASB standards, and demonstrated experience in not-for-profit and fund accounting environments.  Experience in commercial lending and/or banking is also preferred.  We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, blended with the technical know-how to roll up your sleeves to help achieve the objectives of this financial ministry.  Strong technical and supervisory skills, the ability to develop staff, work collaboratively across our organization, and work as a trusted advisor to others will all be required to be successful in this important role.
