During the week of February 24th, Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) will be celebrating its 53rd Anniversary, “RHF – Your Future Is Our Mission”.

On Thursday, February 27th, members and friends of the Southern California Nevada Conference of the UCC are invited to a 7:30 pm worship service at the Community Congregational UCC (4111 Katella Avenue, Los Alamitos) to hear the Rev. David Moyer and to celebrate the organization’s ministry. Several of the UCC Conference Ministers are also scheduled to attend this celebration.

Rev. David Moyer is a graduate of Elmhurst College (BA 1969), Eden Theological Seminary (M.Div., 1972) and Princeton Theological Seminary (D. Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF), is a 501(c)(3),non-profit, faith-based, mission-driven, charitable organization.  RHF was formed in 1961 by three visionaries; two California United Church of Christ clergymen and one layman.

At the beginning, RHF’s mission was to provide dignified, affordable housing and services for the elderly.  Today, RHF is one of the nation’s largest non-profit sponsors and managers of housing and services for older adults, persons with disabilities, and low-income families.

RHF means home to more than 18,500 people in 171 housing communities in 27 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  While these communities are comprised of mostly apartments, RHF also provides housing with assisted living units and skilled nursing beds.

You are asked to RSVP to Maggie Engelberg at 562-257-5302 or maggie.engelberg@rhf.org if you plan to attend this once in a lifetime event.
