Brea Church Kicks Off 100th Birthday Celebration

Join the celebration.  Enjoy food, music, games and contests, plus free cake for everyone. Help Brea Congregational Church kick-off its Centennial Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 16 from 1-4 p.m.  at 300 E. Imperial Highway in Brea, CA.  Admission is free.  Opportunity drawing tickets for prizes will be given to anyone who brings an item of non-perishable food for the local pantry.

Participate in our “Collection of 100” or “Recycled Art” contests with prizes for different age groups.  Enjoy the beanbag, penny and water balloon toss, and the hula-hoop, jump rope and Frisbee Triathlon. There will also be free face painting and balloon animals. Free popcorn, water and lemonade will be available and other food items will be available for a small donation.

This party is just the first of several events planned as part of the church’s “Becoming What We Believe” Centennial Celebration. Founded in 1913, the church plans several events over the next nine months, including an October Fest, Blessing of The Animals and Blue Grass Mass all culminating in a 100th birthday bash in June 2013.
