First Congregational Church of Long Beach Hosting August Faith Formation Training

On August 29th, 9 am – Noon,

First Congregational Church of Long Beach will be hosting a free training with the Visual Faith Project.

Lee Yates, pastor of Covina Community Church, will be the facilitator.

Lunch is provided at no cost.

 

The Visual Faith Project uses images as a tool for connecting people and scripture is an experience that can probably be best described as a “viso-divina.”

Imagine the possibilities of a tool that allows children, youth, and adults to engage scripture together and can also be used for personal reflection.

We will look at how visual images impact the way we think, reflect, and grow. We will also look at the ways this tool can be used across the life of local congregations.

Those who attended Al Lopez workshop on “Spirituality in the Community” got a brief introduction to this experience and gave it rave reviews.
