M.E.WEEKENDS This Marriage Enrichment Retreat happens Friday evening through Sunday noon. Our Certified Leader Couple brings participants together in a comfortable setting to focus on their marriage without any day to day pressures of family and work. Modeling couple dialogue, they teach practical communication skills. Whether in private conversation or whole group sharing, participants have uninterrupted opportunities to share feelings and experiences with their spouses and with other couples. They expect participants to attend all sessions but once in the room, all participation is voluntary, no confrontation, no coercion. As couples revisit their history together and gain new skills for expression they often reconnect to the exciting beginnings of their love for each other. The goal of the retreat is couple growth but we also treasure the growing friendships between couples. All ages and stages of married couples enjoy retreats.
LOCATION The Inn at Morro Bay
A peaceful retreat in a seaside hotel, the Inn at Morro Bay provides hospitality and gracious space for lodging, dining, and a million-dollarview meeting space. Private rooms, heated pool, Jacuzzi, and no rushing about—just a romantic Central Coast setting with a splash of seclusion. Enjoy the walks, the views, and the amazing conversation about marriage, your marriage.
COST The price for this extraordinary weekend in Morro Bay is $520.00* per couple. That includes two nights lodging, dinner on Friday night, and Saturday breakfast and lunch. Saturday evening can be a dinner date or time with other couples. Use your imagination for Sunday breakfast, and know we will dismiss before lunch. We’ve contracted for eight rooms so we will be a group of sixteen.
FINANCIAL AND CHILDCARE ASSISTANCE *The church will provide a $100 scholarship for couples, perhaps more if needed. And PCC will cover the meeting room fees. Don’t hesitate to make a request or make a contribution so that others may attend. It’s as simple as speaking with Pastor Steven. All such requests and donations are confidential. Childcare for your children can be a dilemma. Plan ahead. Persons not attending the retreat can provide support by caring for the children of weekend participants. Please let the leaders know if you can assist in this way.

ABOUT MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT (M.E.) In 1973, The Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment (now Better Marriages) was begun by Drs. David and Vera Mace, a husband and wife team expert in the field of marriage and family relationships. They saw a need to help couples deepen and sustain their love. Through experiential learning, they taught couples family-life skills; identifying and elevating strengths, recognizing and growing through differences.
