3rd annual Faith & Works Conference at Irvine United Congregational Church

Dr. McBride will engage us in challenging conversations about Faith-based Social Witness for our time, based on her experiences teaching theology in a women’s prison and sharing in the mercy and justice work of Atlanta’s Open Door Community.

Dr. McBride is Associate Dean for Doctor of Ministry Programs & Continuing Education and Asst. Professor of Theology & Ethics at the McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago and serves and is on the Board of Directors of the International Bonhoeffer Society.

She is the author of The Church for the World: A Theology of Public Witness and Reducing Distance: A Liturgical Politics of the Gospel; her books will be available for purchase at the event.

Registration is $40 for adults or $20 for students; child care will be available.  Dr. McBride will speak at 7:00 pm on Friday, followed by a reception, and at 10:00 am on Saturday; a light breakfast will be available Saturday at 9:00 am.
