Irvine United Congregational Church Seeks Adult Education Ministry Director

Irvine United Congregational Church (IUCC) is seeking a part-time Adult Education Ministry Director.  This person will develop, implement and lead programs to attract and engage adults as part of a ministry team.  The AEM Director plans and promotes weekly programs for adult education and special speakers/activities that lift up the congregation’s progressive Christian vision and mission.  Some examples of past speakers or series that IUCC has offered include: Sister Helen Prejean, The Jesus Seminar, Bishop J. Shelby Spong, Marcus Borg and Dominic Crossan, Mike Farrell, Lt. Dan Choi, Father Greg Boyle and Rachel Held Evans.  The AEM Director position is 20 hours per week and reports directly to the Senior Pastor, works collaboratively with the Ministry for Young People Director and other staff, and works closely with lay leadership and volunteers.  Compensation is commensurate with experience and education; some benefits will be offered.

IUCC is an Open and Affirming, Just Peace and Global Mission church located in Orange County, California, and is a member of the United Church of Christ (UCC) denomination ( www.ucc.org ).  We are comprised of people of diverse religious traditions, led by the Rev.
