Lombard Mennonite Peace Center will be in San Diego, California

dove-transparentSince 1983, Lombard Mennonite Peace Center (LMPC) has provided resources for conflicted churches, in addition to training judicatory leaders and pastors in principles grounded in family systems theory useful for managing self in the midst of anxious churches, while addressing conflict in transforming ways.

This spring LMPC will be in San Diego, California, leading Mediation Skills Training Institute for Church Leaders (MSTI), a five-day institute of hands-on training, providing mediation training for clergy and church leaders.  It is ideal for training members of a judicatory mediation team and other leaders who work with committees, candidates for ministry, and churches. This MSTI will be during the week of March 16-20, 2015, at Hope United Methodist Church, San Diego, CA.  The attached brochure offers further information along with registration forms.

For anyone for whom the March date is not convenient, LMPC will be back on the west coast in October, leading an MSTI in Portland, Oregon during the week of October 5-9, 2015.  The same attached brochure includes information for this training, also.

I have also included the brochure for Clergy Clinic in Family Emotional Process, which provides a total of nine days of training through the year that can be taken as a follow-up to the MSTI, or, taken without prior training.

I’m writing to ask you to think of who in your churches could benefit from this training, and, in turn, support your work with the broader church as needs arise?  Could you please share the enclosed brochures with your pastors, church leaders, and committee members? We can send you hard copies of either of the attached brochures upon request; in addition, all of our brochures can be downloaded from our website, www.LMPeaceCenter.org.

Thank you for considering these educational opportunities.  We hope that you will be able to utilize these training events as a way to further strengthen your pastors, your congregations, and individual members.
