General Synod 29: Fun for the Whole Family!

Below is a letter from Susie Bjork & Ginger Joseph, Co-Chairs Children’s Program/Child Care.   We encourage you to share these with your congregation via newsletters, websites, bulletins and announcements.     Thanks!Childcare Synod

We’re looking forward to making General Synod 29 a trip to remember for the whole family!

For our younger Synod attendees we will be providing onsite child care for ages 0-3 and a children’s program for Pre-K through 8th grade during all scheduled business sessions and worship services beginning on Friday afternoon, June 28, through Tuesday evening, July 2.

We’re planning lots of games, crafts, music, snacks, stories, and an all-around fun time for kids of all ages!  A detailed itinerary of outings is still in the works, but at this time, we are hoping to offer offsite field trips for the older children to:

Aquarium of the Pacific (www.aquariumofpacific.org)
Rancho Los Alamitos (www.rancholosalamitos.com)
The Queen Mary (www.queenmary.com )

For more details on General Synod 29 and to register your child/children, please visit the Synod registration website (http://www.ucc.org/synod/), fill out a children’s program registration form (available on the site), enclose your check ($5 per child per session), and mail it to the address provided on the form.  Registration deadline is June 1, 2013.  All children must be registered by this date.  In order to ensure proper staff to child ratios, drop in care is not available.  All child care staff and volunteers will be screened in compliance with the Southern California Nevada Conference Safe Church Policy.

Direct questions to Susie Bjork at pastorsusie@bayshorechurch.org or (562) 433-0401.

See you and your kids at Synod!
