Second Interfaith Addiction Conference

The Second Interfaith Addiction Conference, scheduled for February 17, 2011, brings together clergy from Christian, Islamic, Judaic, and Unitarian Universalist faiths presenting their various theological and practical approaches to addiction and recovery. In addition, Dr. Hal Urschel of Recovery Science will share the latest in the brain science of addiction. Rev. Cynthia Abrams, Director of Alcohol, Other Addictions, and Health Care for the General Board of Church and Society of the United Methodist Church is the keynote speaker. Rabbi Mark Borovitz, Imam Jahid Saafir, Rev. Dr. Beth Johnson, Rev. Jeff Thomas, Chaplain Brad Long, and Scott McMillin are presenters.

There will be two meals, small group discussions, and the day ends with an interfaith worship service.  Registration is $45 for clergy and professionals and $30 for seminarians and graduate students. Registrations to G. Quan, CST Business Office, 1325 N College Av., Claremont, CA 91711.
