New Wine, Old Wineskins; A Conversation with Doug Pagitt

Doug Pagitt

Have you ever wondered if there was a way to dramatically increase your church’s outreach to people age 18-40.  If so, you will not want to miss a half-day workshop on October 20 at First Congregational Church, UCC in Pasadena.

Doug pastors a innovative and Holistic Missional Christian Community in Minneapolis (www.SolomonsPorch.com), and is also an active speaker and consultant for churches, denominations and businesses throughout the United States and around the world on issues of postmodern culture, social systems and Christianity. He is also a Senior Fellow with Emergent Village: a generative friendship of missional church leaders around the world and a leading architect of the emergent church discussion.

Doug’s current professional endeavors also include speaking and writing (www.DougPagitt.com) and owner of JoPa Productions (www.JoPaProductions.com) and host of Doug Pagitt Radio (www.DougPagittRadio.com).  He is the author of numerous books, notably including Church in the Inventive Age (see a review by Dave Sigmund at scncucc.org/voices/?p=186, and A Christianity Worth Believing In.
At the “Seven Secrets” Conference Atlanta this summer, Doug spoke about Secret Five, “Transformational Mission.”  In his time with us, he will continue speaking on this subject, and also discuss ways to create a missional community within your church.
