SCNCUCC - Mission

The Southern California Nevada Conference participates directly and indirectly in a number of international mission projects. Local churches in the Southern California Conference participate indirectly in the International Mission projects of the UCC by providing funding through Our Church's Wider Mission and Special Offerings.

Wider Church Ministries is one of four Covenanted Ministries in the United Church of Christ. Its purpose is to support congregations and the other settings of the church develop relationships with a wider church that is global, multiracial, and multicultural.

Common Global Ministries is a common witness of the Division of Overseas Ministries, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Wider Church Ministries, United Church of Christ dedicated to worldwide mission activities.

National Disaster Ministries is a program of UCC Wider Church Ministries and is coordinated through the Office for Global Sharing of Resources. The UCC National Disaster Ministries Program is supported by the annual One Great Hour of Sharing mission offering, designated gifts from individuals and congregations, and your congregation's contribution to Our Church's Wider Mission.
