Friends,
A New UCC History and Polity
Class will begin on October 15 from 9a.m. to 1 p.m. at
Vino Nuevo Iglesia Unida de Cristo (New Wine United
Church of Christ, our newest new church start) at 24710
Washington Ave. Murrieta, CA 92562. (It is in a
strip of shops, right at the corner, well
marked.) Leader: Jane Fisler Hoffman,
Interim Conference Minister, with help from others in
our Conference.
Subsequent dates of the
class (same time, same place) will be: October 29,
November 6, December10 and two additional dates
negotiated among participants.
This class
has been planned particularly for persons seeking
ordination or other UCC authorization but we are opening
it now to anyone-UCC members, persons considering
seeking UCC standing, anyone. All participants
will be expected to do the reading, written work and
join in class discussion. The cost for the class
is $200 plus books (approximately $100 more), however
accommodation can be made if the cost is a barrier to
participation.. To save cost, we will order most
of our books as a group so weneed to know asap who will
definitely be participating-it will save $ for
everyone. If you want to participate in this
