Please forgive a delay in receiving these -I was out of town last week and we have not thought to set up an alternative (non-Jane) system. We'll work on that. But now I share with you the following joy and concern from among our SCNC covenant community:

 

We share in prayers of comfort and support for Rev. Mary Ellen Kilsby, pastor emeritus of the First Congregational Church of Long Beach, at the death of her husband 'Bud' after an extended illness.  He was able to attend worship on the day of his death (Feb 8) and was surrounded by family as his life with them ended.  The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 3pm at the church.

 

We share in prayers of joy at the birth of a daughter, Eliza Rain Jenkins, to Rev. Iona Dickinson, Associate Pastor Claremont UCC, and Phil Jenkins, formerly of our SCNC staff.  Eliza, mother and Dad are reportedly all doing well.
