Just a genuinely 'quick' Quick
News. This morning I checked in with our Hemet,
Palos Verdes and LaCanada churches and learned that the
church facilities are safe but some members are under
either voluntary or even mandatory evacuations.
Plus smoke is very heavy. Let's keep the folk of
all these communities and the firefighters in our
prayers and continue as the season
progresses.
Unbelievably, tomorrow I leave
for the Global Ministries Study and Partner Support trip
to Palestine-Israel (and no, I'm not even really packed
yet!). We start Sunday with a day of training in
Newark and actually leave Monday.
With the exception of our wonderful Virginia
Arroyo, who is on vacation until Sept 15, the rest of
our staff is available to you and ready to assist with
any needs.
